The Fifth Quarter...

Do you want to see a good movie?  Pick up this one at the video store this weekend!!!

It is called, The Fifth Quarter.

Click on THIS link and then watch the trailer.

Be prepared though.  It is a sad one.  You may even get the ugly cry.  But hey... that is okay.  That means you were touched and that you learned something.

We watched it on New Years Eve with the kids.  It didn't hold Izzy's attention, but the three other kids were GLUED.  That is saying A LOT!  We watched Mr. Popper's Penguins right before it and Jackson didn't make it past the first 1/2 hour.  (Ry and I actually liked Popper's too.)

I loved that it was a movie the whole family could watch together and yet it didn't belong to the Shrek animated catalog.

There were also great teaching themes in the movie: friends, choices and consequences, life / death, family values, support systems, etc.  It may or may not have been a great heart to heart for Lex and I later that night.

Anyway.... I know videos are a bit sketchy lately.  It seems movie companies always through in extra language or the extra inappropriate scene to "spice" things up.  It is refreshing to see a GOOD movie.

(Hopefully there isn't anything bad in it.  I truly don't remember.  I watch it through tears.)  Watch it!
