Mrs. Fox

Welcome to the family, Mrs. Fox...

We'd been pondering the idea of a pet. My good friend, Haley, just happened to have a sister who was looking to place one of her three cats.
The first night was a little rough. Ryan was out of town and the cat was a little nervous being away from her home and friends. She meowed most of the night and walked along my headboard, clawed at the blinds, and basically kept me up most of the night. I felt like I had a newborn baby.
But... night two was better, and three was no big deal. She is now part of the family. The kids love her and don't mind helping to take care of her litter box, toys, and food. I have a spray bottle for her in case she jumps on my kitchen counters. That is one thing I won't tolerate.
My friend Stacie, the pet whisper, said she shaves her cats once a year to keep down on the hair. We didn't notice very much stray hair and we wanted to keep it that way. I actually like the shaved version of Mrs. Fox. We have our own little lion.
We were surprised how tiny she was once all the hair was gone. I think she likes it too. She has been very friendly since her date with the hairdresser, she is cool for summer, and she loves to chase her pom pom tail.
If I had to recommend a pet for non pet people, I would go with a cat. She really is low maintenance, quiet, no fuss, and a keeper. Thanks Becky. We love her.
